Abstract

Background: In the process of applying the integrative teaching task, the active role of teachers and students is important, so its conscious planning, implementation and evaluation guarantees its validity.
Objective: to diagnose the current state of integrative teaching tasks in the Comprehensive Laboratory Diagnosis discipline in the Clinical Bio-analysis career.
Methods: a descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out from May to July 2023, at the Technological Faculty from Camagüey University of Medical Sciences. The theoretical methods included the historical-logical, analysis-synthesis and inductive-deductive; the empirical methods were: document analysis, questionnaire, interview; and descriptive statistics for the analysis and expression of the results.
Results: Difficulties were evident in the development of integrative teaching tasks from the Comprehensive Laboratory Diagnosis discipline program, since no didactic-methodological guidelines were provided on how to achieve the treatment of integrated content, so the methodological work of the teachers in this effort was insufficient, and limitations were noted in the students to establish the integration of content, as a consequence of the above.
Conclusions: A diagnosis was made of the current state of the integrative teaching tasks applied in the Comprehensive Laboratory Diagnosis discipline in the Clinical Bio-analysis career. Its deficiencies demand the need for a methodological work aimed at a better development to achieve the integration of content that will promote the quality of the professional in training.
