Curricular strategy to form researching abilities in general practitioners

Abstract

A qualitative research work was carried out in the Medicine Faculty of Villa Clara University of Medical Sciences in the academic course 2008-2009, its purpose was to design a curricular strategy to form researching abilities in general practitioners. This work was based on the results of a contextualized diagnose. In this stage of the research work group techniques were used which included faculty board members and teachers. In the designed pedagogical product were assumed 16 researching abilities which the students should acquire and the teaching tasks which should guide teachers to facilitate this work were determined. The implementation of the curricular strategy was characterized by its systematic and flexible character. The curricular strategy was positively evaluated by the specialists: They took into account its structure, pertinence, usefulness and pedagogical scientific work.
