An experience with elective courses for the general formation of Medicine students in Remedios city

Abstract

It was designed a course syllabus concerning integral general culture with the aim to develop a greater and better social interaction among students. It was taught as an elective course to the students of the second year of the Medicine career and to the students of the first year in the Health Technology career, in five out of the eight careers which comprise Health Technology. There were applied surveys and evaluations which showed very good results. It was concluded that this syllabus contribute to increase the motivation of the students about these topics, it also influences upon human relations, by means of it communication, the exchanging of knowledge and experiences were increased. It also favors the interpretation of natural and social processes at present.
