Abstract

It was carried out a research work in Villa Clara University of Medical Sciences academic year (2009-2010) to develop abilities for the interaction of teachers with the learning virtual environment.  It was used an aleatory sample of 40 teachers. Different instruments were applied to the sample. There were formed three nominal groups and a focal group. Te information gathered was contrasted using different techniques. The situation of the teaching staff was diagnosed, where it was shown the lack of deep knowledge about the topic, lack of technological proficiency and a good disposition for upgrading. It was taught a virtual course “Design and publication of courses on line” in the Moodle platform, with the linking of theory and practice. Sixteen virtual courses emerged to back up teaching syllabus in the regular course and fifteen were headed to the post-graduate upgrading.
