Abstract

A biblometric study was carried out to identify the most productive and relevant journals in the education sciences, taking into account the Impact Factor according to the “Journal Citation Report”, the visibility was taken from the iberoamerican ranking “SCImago Research Group” and the data base SciELO. Indicators such as publication patterns and country were considered. The study showed that the educational sciences are not among the principal publication patterns in the world, It is evident that the impact factor belongs to British, North American and European journals. The Cuban journal “Educación Médica Superior “is among the 30 most relevant scientific journals according to an analysis from “Scopus”. Medical Education and Review of Educational Research journals were the ones with a greater impact factor at a world level.
