Abstract

The electrocardiogram is an essential diagnostic tool in cardiology, but its learning is complex due to the variability of tracings and the difficulty in inferring clinical diagnoses from electrical signals. Although traditional reading-based teaching remains predominant, its limited effectiveness has forced the foray into other innovative teaching methods such as the inverted classroom, hands-on workshops, mobile applications, and digital simulators that have proven effective in strengthening interpretation skills. The combination of deductive and inductive approaches, together with the integration of modern technologies, is key to optimize the teaching of the electrocardiogram, so the authors through the present research paper aim to socialize their point of view on how to train the ability to read the electrocardiogram from a modern perspective.
