Abstract

Training in experimental research is essential for professional development and the progress of evidence-based medicine, constituting one of the key lines of work for the Experimental Toxicology Unit (UTEX) of Villa Clara, affiliated with the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara. In this context, an innovation project is being implemented, which in its first phase has developed a portfolio of training offerings focused on pharmacology, effluent disposal, clinical laboratory work, and ethics in animal research. It was developed according to knowledge needs and includes teaching activities and didactic resources. It has been positively evaluated by experts regarding its content and applicability. The objective of the article is to share this experience, applicable to other institutions, to raise awareness among students and health professionals about the importance of continuous improvement in experimental research in toxicology.
