Abstract

Health promotion is essential for the prevention, early detection, and management of physical development in childhood. The impact on the quality of life of children with Down syndrome and the progress of their basic motor skills can be achieved through the practice of physical education. Therefore, the aim of this article is to share health promotion actions for the development of basic motor skills in children with Down syndrome, taking into account the link between physical education and health promotion at school. These actions are based on tasks implemented with effective results in the research and innovation project: Adapted and inclusive physical activity for the quality of life of vulnerable groups* at the Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas.
