Methodological proposal to elevate the quality of the teaching-learning process of the English language in the universalization

Abstract

The teaching of the English language plays an important role in the integral formation of the new man that it is desired to form in the country, taking into account the Higher Education universalization process that involves Villa Clara University of Medical Sciences where many students enter coming from different formation models. These students are characterized by a great diversity in respect to origin, age and formation levels, these make complex the teaching-learning process with them. There are handicaps which exert a negative influence upon the learning process of these students, among them it can be mentioned the physiological, psychological and socio-cultural ones. There are also limitations about the methodological preparation of teachers in respect to their work with diversity, their mastery of the communicative methodology techniques and the appropriate usage of the student´s diagnose. These work is the result of the research carried out by the author in the theses in option to the Master of Arts degree, in the work are proposed a series of methodological-didactic actions to pay attention to the methodological preparation of teachers taking into account the particularities of diversity and the mastery of the communicative methodology techniques
