Extension work to consolidate the training of psychopedagogue in matters of school life

Background: school life requires the consideration of different factors during the development of the personality of university students. Extension work has been identified as an important variable that influences its consolidation.Objective: to analyze the influence of extension work in the formation of psychopedagogue in matters of school life.
Methods: an exploratory study was carried out at the “Marta Abreu” de las Villas Central University, from September 2018 to March 2019, at the “Félix Varela Morales” headquarters Methods of the theoretical level were applied: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive and historical -logical; Empirical: survey in the form of a questionnaire to students of the degree in Education, specialty Psychology Pedagogy and interview to key informant; and mathematicians for absolute and relative values.
Results: it was found that from the extension work activities are carried out that contribute to the consolidation of school life in students, with a predominance of those related to health promotion. They considered its importance based on a healthy coexistence, although they recognized that sometimes their participation is insufficient. These criteria were corroborated by the vice-dean of university extension as a key informant.
Conclusions: the influence of extension work in the formation of psychopedagogue in matters of school life was positive, both to act among them, and for their future professional performance.
