Abstract

Education is a continuos process, It is necessary to develop the profession to educate so as to form man. Man´s health depends on preventive, promotional and recuperative cares, that´s why Nursing appears. Nursing as a science is based on an ethical and social practice. The XXI century, characterized by globalization, the culture of quality and the rapid obsolescence of knowledge. It represents a challenge for Nursing from the practical and teaching point of view through its development in order to produce the techno-scientific changes. This article deals with aspects related to the pedagogical preparation in the context of the new medical university, they should be considered as an alternative proposal for professional upgrading. The principal theoretical aspects about upgrading are systematized as a way to facilitate professional improvement, based on the principal precepts of advanced education and the current pedagogical tendencies leading to an integral, interdisciplinary and developing teaching.
