Teaching materials to improve the teaching of Clinical Pharmacology

Abstract

Background: teaching materials are one of the components of the teaching-learning process that support the teaching methods in order to achieve the objectives.
Objective: to elaborate teaching materials on the different topics of Clinical Pharmacology to improve the teaching of this subject in the medical career.
Methods:
developmental research was carried out at the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara in the period January-July 2023. Theoretical methods were used: analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction; and empirical methods: documentary review and professional criteria for evaluating the designed product.
Results:
due to the poor results obtained in the Clinical Pharmacology subject, materials consisting of 32 digital presentations and 28 audios on the different topics were prepared for the students' preparation.
Conclusions: to improve the teaching of Clinical Pharmacology in the medical profession, teaching materials have been developed which have been satisfactorily evaluated by the specialists in guiding the students in their learning activity.
