Abstract

Background: the improvement of the study plan and its implementation constitute a need that comes from the experiences obtained and the results achieved in its delivery, at all levels of education.
Objective: to perfect the program of the subject Systems Regulators of the Internal Environment directed to students of the career of Stomatology of the regular course diurnal.
Methods: a descriptive, prospective, longitudinal-cut development research was carried out at the "Raúl González Sánchez" School of Stomatology at the Medical Sciences University of Havana. Theoretical and empirical methods supported by an updated bibliographical foundation were used, which allowed reaching the proposed results.
Results: elements in favor of the need to create two subjects from "Systems Regulators of the Internal Environment", and the bases of the program of one of them were proposed: Hormonal Regulation of Metabolism and Reproduction.
Conclusions: the proposal was considered relevant, useful and responds to the needs that motivated its conception.
