Abstract

The teaching at the municipal universities has been assumed by a group of specialities that have not been previously prepared as teachers, however, it is indispensable for  them to have a correct pedagogic preparation which is necessary to  reach a performance that allows the formation of the future health professionals with the required quality. A qualitative descriptive study was carried out to characterize the teaching performance level of the teachers that work at the municipal University Site in Placetas in the period between 2005-2007. A non probabilistic, intentional and by saturation sample was used. It was shown that the teaching performance of the teachers is inadequate and it was designed a methodology to facilitate the personologic characterization of the performance of the health professors which was valorated as positive by specialists who consider it as necessary, inclusively a  very useful one.
